With this exhibit I have
tried to pay homage to that manner of facing life that has to do with
stoicism and tolerance.
To show that, I have used
the image of a mother with her child as a way of representing nature
and her fruits, and I have tried to show her in every dimension, in
light and darkness, in joy and suffering but always in a serene and
forgiving manner, recognizing in pain and happiness the essence of
human nature.
I have decided to remove
all superficial color from the paintings so that the spectator can
concentrate in what is essential in the works—I don't want anything
to interrupt this kind of intimate dialogue that I want to establish
with those who come close to the work.
